Overview
steel grits are angular grains in the form of irregular polygon that are produced from hypereutectoid cast steel which haves appliped original technology of steel shot crushing with following sieving.
Useage and Parameters
Useage:sand-removing and deoxidization of small-sized castings,forgings,heat-treated pieces,aluminum-copper alloy castings,steel plates,steel pipes,sections and steel structures,surface intensification of springs and chains,cutting of rocks,griding processing
-GP steel grit(46-50HRC):angular when new, this grit rapidly rounds off in ues and is particular suited to removing sand of casting and scaling oxide.
-GL steel grit(56-60HRC):although harder than GP steel grit,GL also losed its sharp edges during shot blasting and is particular suited to descaling and surface preparation applications.
-GH steel grit(63-65HRC):having maximum hardness,GH always remains angular in the operation. These abrasives are particular effective in surface treatment processes and produce a uniform, etched finish.GH angular grit should only be used in wheel machines where working requirements take precedence over cost price considerations(for example with rolling mill cylinders or when a special finish is needed). For use mainly with compressed air blasting equipment.
